What appears to be a profitable business hides a dangerous criminal arrangement, and the money flowing through the operation soon threatens to destroy everyone connected to it. Ng Yu's marriage to Man is already troubled. Their relationship lacks genuine affection, and he openly carries on an affair with his secretary. Man, meanwhile, finds comfort in the company of Uncle Tong, a trusted older figure who treats her like family. Years earlier, Man had been in love with Lee Wai. Their relationship ended because her father disapproved, forcing Lee Wai to leave for America. Man eventually married Ng Yu, but the past is never completely forgotten. Then Lee Wai suddenly returns to Hong Kong. His unexpected reunion with Man brings back old feelings and opens wounds that never truly healed. But this is no ordinary homecoming. Lee Wai is actually connected to an undercover investigation by the American Drug Enforcement Administration, helping Hong Kong authorities investigate Brother Tiger's drug-trafficking network. As the investigation progresses, personal relationships become entangled with a dangerous criminal operation. Lee Wai must pursue the truth while dealing with his unresolved feelings for Man and the complications created by Annie, his own fiancée and fellow investigator. Meanwhile, Ng Yu is tempted by Brother Tiger's offer to invest in the drug business. Greed begins to outweigh caution, and his involvement in the criminal world grows increasingly dangerous. Seeking to take control of Man's assets, he becomes involved in a sinister scheme that threatens her life and exposes the darkest side of their marriage. But the consequences do not unfold as simply as he expects. Strange and frightening incidents begin to surround the household, and Ng Yu becomes increasingly suspicious and unstable.
