Why does everyone suddenly seem toxic, narcissistic, manipulative or emotionally unavailable? Maybe internet psychology is changing the way we see normal human flaws.
We learned the language of psychology - red flags, gaslighting, narcissism, attachment styles, boundaries, trauma - and somehow turned every disagreement into a diagnosis.
This video is about internet psychology, toxic relationships, emotional intelligence and the strange way social media teaches us to label people before we actually understand them.
Sometimes a red flag really is a red flag. Sometimes someone genuinely is manipulative. But sometimes people are simply selfish, insecure, exhausted, immature, annoying or wrong.
And sometimes... so are we.
We’ll talk about why psychological labels feel so satisfying, how therapy-speak can destroy curiosity, why everyone online seems to have a narcissistic ex, and why understanding human behavior requires more nuance than a 30-second TikTok diagnosis.
Maybe psychology was supposed to help us understand people.
Maybe instead, we learned better ways to judge them.
