Join me for a morning at the Ribble & Fishwicks Joint Running Day in Leyland, Lancashire, filmed on Sunday 30th August 2026. Organised by the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust, the event was based at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum and brought together preserved vehicles representing two important names in Lancashire's bus history – Ribble Motor Services and J. Fishwick & Sons. Throughout the morning we see a selection of beautifully preserved buses taking part in the event, with heritage bus services operating around the local area and plenty of opportunities to see the vehicles arriving, departing and out on the road. The event provides a great opportunity to see vehicles representing the famous red buses of Ribble alongside the distinctive green buses associated with J. Fishwick & Sons of Leyland, a company with a remarkable connection to the town and its transport history. Alongside the running day action, the British Commercial Vehicle Museum provides a particularly appropriate setting for the event, celebrating Leyland's enormous contribution to Britain's commercial vehicle industry.
