Abandoned railroad restoration (Proposed) - South Coast Rail Phase 2

This video follows the route of the proposed South Coast Rail Phase 2 route that would restore an abandoned rail line between Taunton, MA and Stoughton, MA. Sections of the line were abandoned in 1932, 1966, and 1976 and you can view these on the interactive map linked below. The project would be completed in 2030 after the Phase 1 part of the project is completed in 2023. This will restore passenger rail service to Fall River and New Bedford via Stoughton.
