Driving Croatia 🇭🇷 | Grebaštica to Drage | Scenic Adriatic Coastal Road in September 2026 Join me on another scenic driving journey through Croatia 🇭🇷 as I continue along the beautiful Adriatic coast from Grebaštica to Drage in September 2026. This drive takes us along Croatia’s famous coastal Route 8, also known as the D8 or Jadranska Magistrala, following the Adriatic coastline through small coastal settlements, Mediterranean landscapes, seaside roads and the historic city of Šibenik. Starting in Grebaštica at just 10 meters (32 feet) above sea level, with temperatures reaching 34°C (93°F), the journey begins with beautiful coastal scenery and the warm September atmosphere of the Dalmatian coast. From Grebaštica, I join Route 8 and continue north toward Žabori, a small coastal settlement surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. The road here offers a relaxing combination of sea views, rocky Mediterranean landscapes, traditional houses and quiet coastal sections. The drive continues through Brodarica, located just south of Šibenik. Brodarica is known for its beautiful seaside setting and its proximity to the small island of Krapanj, adding another layer of Adriatic scenery to the journey. As the route continues, we arrive in Šibenik, one of Croatia’s historic coastal cities. Šibenik is situated near the mouth of the Krka River and is surrounded by a spectacular landscape of islands, bays and the Adriatic Sea. Driving through the area gives us a glimpse of the combination of modern coastal life and the historic character that makes this part of Dalmatia so distinctive. Leaving Šibenik behind, the journey continues north along Route 8 toward Pirovac. The scenery gradually changes as the road passes through quieter areas, coastal villages and Mediterranean countryside. September is a great time to experience this part of Croatia, with warm temperatures and plenty of daylight while the summer crowds are beginning to decrease. From Pirovac, I continue toward Drage, another beautiful coastal settlement located between the Adriatic Sea and Lake Vrana. This area is surrounded by numerous small islands and bays, creating some impressive views as the road approaches the northern part of this journey. This is not a fast road trip. From there, the route continues through the Dalmatian countryside toward Pirovac and finally Drage. Along the way, you can see the changing scenery of the Croatian Adriatic coast — from small seaside villages and rocky hills to turquoise water, Mediterranean vegetation, coastal homes and long stretches of road overlooking the sea. The D8 coastal road is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience Croatia by car. Instead of simply travelling between destinations, the road itself becomes part of the experience. September also gives this journey a different atmosphere compared with the busiest summer months. The weather can still be hot, the Adriatic remains beautiful, and the roads and coastal towns can feel more relaxed. 🎥 FILMED IN SEPTEMBER 2026 This video was filmed during my September 2026 road trip through Croatia.
