Welcome to Cherry’s Kitchen 🍒
Today I’m making a simple Japanese-style fried rice in my small Tokyo kitchen.
This is a slightly different way of making fried rice. By mixing part of the beaten egg into the warm rice first, it becomes easier to cook the rice lightly and evenly, even if you’re not confident in the kitchen.
I’m using just a few simple ingredients today: eggs, green onion, warm rice, chicken bouillon, and soy sauce.
The key is not to press the rice down. Let it move around the pan, keep some air between the grains, and cook the soy sauce directly on the hot pan before mixing it into the rice.
Simple, quick, and very delicious. This is my homemade Cherry-style fried rice. 🍳
🥚ingredients:
• Warm cooked rice
• 2 eggs
• Green onion
• Chicken bouillon or chicken stock powder
• Soy sauce
• Cooking oil
• Black pepper, optional
• Sesame oil, optional
