Bhimkund Waterfall 😍 | Odisha's Hidden Monsoon Paradise | Keonjhar Chapter III EP.03

KEONJHAR CHAPTER III | EPISODE 03 🏍️🌧️💦 Bhimkund Waterfall in Monsoon | Hidden Beauty of Odisha After the unexpected alloy wheel incident in the previous episode, it was finally time to get back on the road and continue our Keonjhar adventure. This time, our destination was Bhimkund Waterfall — a beautiful natural and sacred destination associated with the Baitarani River, located on the border of Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj districts of Odisha. We started the ride from Keonjhar town, from my friend Abhi's room. This time, Abhi, Kamal, Preetam and I continued the journey together. Before starting the ride towards Bhimkund, we stopped at Madurai's Kitchen for some South Indian food and then continued towards our destination. The road was one of the highlights of the journey. With the rain and monsoon season, everything around us was covered in fresh green. Water flowing along the roadside, forest views, cloudy weather and the beautiful roads made the ride even more enjoyable. After around 40–50 minutes of riding, we finally reached Bhimkund. Bhimkund is a scenic natural attraction associated with the Baitarani River and is located around the border area of Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj. The destination is known for its dramatic rocky landscape, forest surroundings and the Sanakunda and Badakunda sections of the waterfall. The place also has a strong mythological connection. According to legend and local tradition, Bhimkund is associated with Bhima of the Mahabharata and the Pandavas' exile. We explored the area, visited the watchtower and enjoyed the panoramic view of the waterfall and surrounding green landscape. The rainy season made the entire place look even more beautiful. I also flew the drone to capture some aerial views of Bhimkund, the surrounding greenery and the waterfall.
