Swan with fishing line on leg rescue

4/3/26 Rescue We got a call from Anthony this morning because two swans had fishing line on them (same line so they were stuck together at one point). All of you know what happened to the other one but this one thankfully was secured and all fishing line was removed before it could cause damage to him. If you ever see an animal tangled in fishing line please call a wildlife rescuer right away and keep your eyes on the animal. Try to keep the animal as calm as possible by not moving around too much. Less is more in these situations. I know I sound like a broken record but if you fish, fish responsibly and discard of line properly. Always dispose of it in fishing line receptacles and not in regular trash cans. Please check your area thoroughly before you leave.
