Cycling the Camino de Santiago (Part 4)

Cycling the Camino de Santiago documents my journey along the Le Puy-en-Velay route of the Camino de Santiago ( Le Chemin de St. Jacques ). In Part 4 I complete the journey, cycling from León to Santiago de Compostela. I sample the tasty Mantecadas cakes in Astorga, tackle the Montes de León, stop for a few surprisingly emotional moments at the Cruz de Ferro, spend a lovely night at the Albergue Leo in Villafranca del Bierzo, climb to O Cebreiro high in the Cantabrian mountains, and finish with a brisk cycle into Santiago de Compostela. Come with me as I explore the city, and join me as I attend the Pilgrims’ Mass at the Cathedral and witness the famous swinging of the Botafumeiro.
