Honda Civic Type R K20C1 P0017 Repair Timing Chain, Camshaft & VTC Gear

In this video, I repair the timing system on a 2021 Honda Civic Type R equipped with the K20C1 engine. The vehicle had a P0017 fault code. During diagnosis, I found a stretched timing chain that caused incorrect correlation between the crankshaft and camshaft positions. The repair included: • complete timing chain kit replacement with all related components; • camshaft replacement; • VTC/VVT cam gear replacement; • correct engine timing setup and verification; • engine reassembly and final testing after the repair.
