UP 6253 Grain Train North | Athens Ave. Railroad Crossing, Lincoln CA - Bell Dying

April 9, 2026 Union Pacific Railroad Grain train northbound on the UP Valley Sub passes through the Athens Avenue railroad crossing in Lincoln, California. This was my second catch while I wait for Big Boy to make its way into Roseville. Come to find out that this crossing was rebuilt earlier than I thought as this crossing has a setup equipment with its cantilever that UP really didn't use until the mid 2000s which they used between 2004 - 2007 with Progress Rail LEDs in flat Lincoln Industries/Progress Rail Lights and a Progress Rail Cantilever. This crossing would have been rebuilt in 2003 which pre-dates when UP actually started using this install therefore, this would be one of the first crossing getting the UP mid 2000s install early. I assumed off of the equipment here that it had to be rebuilt around 2005 since with most crossings, I have to go off the current install equipment if satallite view isn't available. The close median signal is an UP mid 2020s signal install as a knock down replacement. This crossing also has two no right turn blank out signals and a queue cutter traffic signal.
