The Union Pacific Railroad Florin Flyer Local freight train stops at the Mine Shaft Lane railroad crossing on the UP Placerville Branch and gets flagged across the crossing without activation and gates due to the track circuits for the freight track being turned off due to to malfunction problems causing unneeded activations also currently, the Heartstoppers Haunted House at the Mine Shaft in Rancho Cordova California currently for the whole month of October and this is there only entrance and exit and the crossing malfunctioning at random times dropping the gates and not raising them back up due to the deteriorating freight track circuits could possibly block people in and cause them to dangerously have to drive around the crossing gates and keep in mind that it's a shared ROW with frequent light rail passes could cause a bad accident. Since the freight line here isn't a main line subdivision and a slow speed freight line, SACRT decided to just turn the track circuits off for this month and place stop signs for the freight track so freight trains will have to stop before passing through due to the temporary non activation for the freight track. I also included a Sacramento Regional Transit light rail train running on the SACRT Gold Line as the light rail track circuits are fine and functioning as intended and as you see, the crossing activates for it.
I also want to mention that the freight track circuits being faulty is due to combine reasons I believe. One because of deterioration as other crossings are starting to act faulty off the freight track circuits. The second reason is that this area was an area of copper thefts on this line and they may have messed up the crossing Signal circuit logic for the freight track and SACRT currently can't fix it right now. This crossing already was having problems with the freight track before the copper thefts also but it made it worse.
