A trip aboard LNER's new Azuma 800106 from Leeds to Doncaster

Decided I would go and have a spin out on a new LNER Azuma. 800106 was the stead and it was just a short blast from Leeds to Doncaster calling at Wakefield Westgate en route. There is loads of legroom especially compared to Mk III stock. The seats were firm but more comfortable than the ones fitted on the Mk III/IV’s. The acceleration was rapid but the ride was a lot firmer and rougher than a Mk III. The seat reservation system was fantastic and it helped me find a free seat immediately which will also help get passengers on and in the carriage a lot quicker at stations.
