[JAPAN] Yoshihiko Hosoda Tribute - Actor

This video introduces you to Mr. Yoshihiko (aka Yoshi) Hosoda, one of Japan’s upcoming hopeful actors. Yoshi was born into one of the most ancient, successful traditional Japanese pastry (“Wa.ga.shi”) artisans' families. His father, grandfather, and great grandfather, etc. are all well-known Wagashi artisans, and the family tradition continues on by the eldest son in the family. Since Yoshi was the second son, he was given the freedom to do anything, be anything in his life; thus, he chose to become an actor... out of all the career paths. As a child, Yoshi was academically talented; he graduated from Keio University with a B.A. degree in Commerce. Keio is one of the best universities in the world and quite well-regarded among academicians throughout the world. Yoshi got a college degree just in case anything happens to his career and his older brother. If his older brother gets sick, Yoshi has to take over the family business. Meanwhile, Yoshi enjoys working as an actor for he loves watching films and TV dramas. He says that he often wondered how a “character” in a film/drama was created by an actor. Yoshi was lucky for he was offered a small role in a TV CM right after college and his acting career took off because of the CM job he did. He was noticed by film producers. Slowly but surely, Yoshi began to recognize. In Japan, the entertainment business is extremely competitive, so it is very hard to get into the industry. There are so many handsome actors as one can see from my video collections. Yoshi has to be just more than a pretty face. Yoshi found his nitch in playing a bad guy or a mentally weak character in films and dramas; the kind of roles tall, handsome young men usually do not care to play because those roles are not so helpful to build one's image as an actor. And once such an image gets stuck, it is hard to shake it off especially if one became famous for such a character. Yoshi, however, didn’t mind it at all. He simply wanted to learn how to create different characters. Best of luck to Yoshi…!! Many thanks for watching…; please give a massive thumbs up! My videos are sort of related to each other, so enjoy others as well. Peace out…to all the beautiful souls out there in the world. Cheers… ; D
