The Candlelight procession today was to celebrate Visakha Bucha, and I had to google what to do since it was my first time. Finally today I've visited Wat Hua Lumphong after passing it via MRT Sam Yan more times I can count. Hopefully if you passed by and wonder what the crowed was doing? Now you have some ideas :D As a third culture kid, discovering parts of Bangkok and learning about my traditions in adulthood is exciting and a bit awkward. But I still want to understand so here I am. Like the reason we walk clockwise during the procession? What the incense really represents? and Why fermented pork deserves more credit than it gets! (It's delicious and if you're brave give it a go!)
