From Warehouse to Table: Rice Sieving & Packaging in a Small Northern Iran Workshop 🌾⚙️🛍️

In northern Iran, rice sorting and processing workshops are busy year-round. In Gilan Province, after harvest, sacks of paddy are transferred to large warehouses. There, through mechanized stages of de-husking, sieving, stone removal, and sorting, the rice becomes perfectly uniform, clean, and ready to cook. Finally, it is packed into small consumer bags and sent to markets.
