Made For More, When We Don't Know How To Pray, Romans 8:26-27

What do we do when we’re suffering and we don’t even know how to pray?  Romans 8:26–27 reminds us that our confidence in prayer isn’t found in having the perfect words, the perfect posture, or even knowing exactly what we need.  The Holy Spirit meets us in our weakness, intercedes for us, and gives us the assurance that God understands our hearts even when we can’t express what we’re feeling.  As we continue looking at suffering and God’s purpose in our lives, this passage invites us to stop worrying about getting prayer “right” and simply turn toward God. Reflection Questions 1. Have you ever experienced a season where you didn’t know what to pray? How does knowing the Holy Spirit intercedes for you change the way you view those moments? 2. Do you ever find yourself focusing more on praying “the right way” than simply turning your heart toward God? What might it look like to approach prayer more honestly and freely? 3. When you’re facing suffering or uncertainty, what would it look like for you to simply turn toward God—even when you don’t understand what He’s doing?
