Stay - UNSEEN GRACE

“Stay” is probably one of the most important songs I’ve made. I recently became a veteran, and through my own experiences and what I’ve witnessed in others, I’ve seen how heavy depression, sadness, and loneliness can become. Sometimes the person struggling the most is the person telling everyone else they’re okay. Sometimes they don’t need someone to fix everything. They just need someone to stay. That’s why I wanted to make this song. Nobody deserves to feel like they're completely alone. Nobody should feel like they have no one they can call, no one they can count on, or that the people around them would be better off without them. “Stay” isn’t about pretending everything magically gets better tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow is still hard. Maybe you still have questions. Maybe getting through today took everything you had. That’s okay. You don't have to figure out the rest of your life tonight. Sometimes courage is simply saying, “I need help.” Sometimes strength is letting somebody else carry some of the weight. And sometimes hope is nothing more than deciding to stay for one more morning. I also believe God reaches us in ways we don't always recognize. Sometimes grace doesn't arrive as some huge sign from Heaven. Sometimes it looks like a friend answering the phone. A family member sitting beside you. A stranger listening without judging. Someone reminding you that you matter when you've forgotten how to believe it yourself. Maybe you're hearing this song because someone you love is struggling. Call them. Sit with them. Listen to them. And if you're the one struggling, please reach out to somebody. You don't have to carry everything by yourself. This song isn't for views, money, recognition, or fame. If “Stay” reaches even one person on a night when they feel completely alone and reminds them to make it to tomorrow, then it did exactly what I wanted it to do. You matter. You are loved.
