India has not approved my visa yet
We are currently in Safdarabad (formerly known as Mandi Dhabhan Singh), where we met a brave elderly man who migrated to Pakistan during the tragic Partition of Punjab in 1947 at the age of just 20.
He migrated from Kotli Than Singh village near Jalandhar District, Indian Punjab. Nearby villages include Talhan, Dakoha, Kukar Pind, Chaheru, Ranipur, Jagpal Pur, Bohani, Ucha, Bhakhriana, Parasram Pur, Patara, Bolina, Jaitewali, Rama Mandi, Madhopur, Mehat, Phagwara, Phagwara Sharqi, and Jamsher.
Despite spending a lot of money, his Indian visa has never been approved. His heart still aches to see his ancestral village one last time. He remembers every single house and the caste of every family from his village. Many people from Indian Punjab have visited him in Pakistan, but his lifelong dream of returning remains unfulfilled.
He emotionally shares how they migrated hungry, thirsty, barefoot, and wounded, and how they survived brutal attacks during the communal violence of 1947. This is not just a story—it is a living history of the Partition of Punjab.
📌 This documentary is a tribute to all Partition survivors, whose pain still echoes after decades.
