I Bought OLD House and CRUSHED It — Look What Was INSIDE!

I bought this little house for one reason — to tear it down. But before the excavator arrived, I went inside one last time to see what was still left in there. From the outside it still looked alive: good tiles by the porch, a bench that had collapsed after someone had already tried to rebuild it, and old stained-glass windows that still caught the light. Above the entrance hung a small seashell with writing on it — a charm, the amulet of this house. The rusted handle, the filthy old light switch I somehow liked anyway, shelves still crowded with forgotten things. Then I noticed a small hatch in the veranda floor. I opened it — and underneath was a cellar far deeper than I expected. Cold, black, silent, lined with the shelves where food was once stored so it wouldn't spoil. A creepy place, but a useful one. Inside: a vintage plastic chandelier, a soldering kit hidden in a cabinet, a handmade metal picture, and a little house-spirit doll left standing alone in an emptied room. The attic was the real surprise — the rooms below were almost bare, but up there everything survived: a child's toy pram, old scales, mysterious powders wrapped in newspaper, a strange measuring instrument, a coil of copper wire. And then the machine arrived. The roof went first. Then the walls, the glass, the floor.
