OSPREAY COLD OPEN AT ALL OUT Will Ospreay is a WWE guy. He works for a AEW, but he’s also a guy who refuses to shut up about WWE. Ospreay’s called out Triple H on TV, he called WWE minimalistic, he’s admitted he never had no interest in going to the Fed, just talking s—t about them, and after a throwaway main event at All Out against Jon Moxley, the banged-up world champion with a bad neck warned the multi-billion-dollar corporation to never step to AEW again. Will Ospreay never met a criticism of WWE that he didn’t want to say out loud. Because Will Ospreay is obsessed with the competition. GOOD. I’m here for it. This is a wrestling war and a culture war isn’t it? S–t talking is a symptom of war, and if you’re a second-place company like AEW—especially given Tony Khan’s generational lack-of-authority over anything, one of the advantages is you can mention the competition openly for free viral clout and one of the main reasons Will Ospreay’s cardio is so good is because he loves clout chasing. AEW was created as national competition to WWE. If Ospreay is going to be shoehorned as an AEW ace, he should sound like someone emotionally invested in beating the other team. Especially if he knows they can’t really respond directly. Today, we’re going to talk about Ospreay’s obsession with WWE, why it’s actually good for AEW, and how a retaliation from WWE could be Ospreay’s worst nightmare. And they wouldn’t even have to say his name. Subscribe in Swahili.
