Grieg — Elegy (Op.47 No.7) | a forgotten Nordic story

I did not edit this piece, as it doesn’t really need it — the music is already complete and perfectly written. If you are interested in my own piano editions (both classical and modern), you can find them here: https://slakva.online/piano-notes/ Grieg’s Elegy (Lyric Pieces Op.47 No.7) is one of those works where the imagination naturally starts to create images. While playing it, I often feel a quiet, slightly mysterious atmosphere — as if something from an old Nordic tale is unfolding. Not in a literal sense, but more like a subtle emotional landscape: distant memories, fragile sadness, maybe even echoes of something childlike and pure. It’s this openness that makes the piece so special — everyone can hear and imagine something different. In this video you can clearly see: • hand movement • phrasing and musical shaping • coordination between melody and accompaniment
