Night of London - Part Six

Hello everybody and welcome back to Sleeper’s Corner. This video is the sixth instalment of Night of London and we continue to follow our protagonist on his walk across London in the early hours of the morning. The city around him is quiet, but his thoughts are anything but. Questions about his future that he has spent three years avoiding suddenly feel so much closer. London seems to offer almost limitless possibility, but having choices means very little when so many unknowns remain. Looking out across the wealth of the City, his thoughts return to Yorkshire, to the mining community that he came from, and to the reasons why he left home in the first place. As he makes his way towards the southern side of the river Thames, he begins to think about the South London that has become his home, the people he has met there and the strange familiarity he has found in a place that should have felt so foreign to him. The London Bridge that he walks upon connects two sides of the city. But tonight, walking across it, he finds himself somewhere between much more than merely North and South. He finds himself somewhere between where he came from, where he is now, and whatever may come next.
