Marshland Histories S2 Ep6: A Brief History of Carlton

The final installment of series two is a bumper episode, covering a thousand years of Carlton history in not much more than ten minutes. Including the evolution of Carlton Marshes, the likely origins of Carlton Hall (going back to the Domesday Book), Carlton at War and the village that became a town (although no-one thinks of it as a town). This is part of the second series of 'Marshland Histories' which explores life in the Lower Waveney Valley. This Poetry People production is written, created and introduced by Dean Parkin.
