Waverly, NE City Council Meeting held on October 13, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Community Meeting Hall 14130 Lancashire The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. The bid was awarded to Scheele-Kayton Construction for the Waverly Fire Station project for $6.548 million, along with several coordinating approvals for the New Fire Station project including interlocal agreement for soil removal with the School District 145, JEO providing engineering for the project for $125k, and G2 fire station alerting system for $117,284.53 from US Digital Designs, all costs split 50/50 between the City and Suburban Fire District. The Council held discussion and proposed changes to Ordinance 26-09 Amending Title VII, Chapter 71 of the Waverly Municipal Code Relating to Electric Bicycles, Scooters, and Motorcycles, and the Third and Final Reading was postponed to the next meeting, pending further discussion to coordinate enforcement measures with Lancaster County and nearby cities. Also approved was On-Call GIS Assistance Agreement with JEO, a bid from Small Engine Specialists for a mower for the parks department for $26,589, purchase of SCBA batteries and charger station from MacQueen for $4,641, and RRFB installation at N 148 & Heywood from Beeck Electrical Svcs for $9,336.09. Approval of routine agenda items included minutes, claims for payment, and Treasurers Report, and Budget & Expense Report.
