In his homily for the Second Sunday after the Holy Cross, Father Michael Skrocki reflects on the challenging words of our Lord in the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Christ calls us to a love that goes beyond simply loving those who love us. We are called to love our enemies, do good without expecting anything in return, and show mercy even when it is difficult. Father Michael invites us to consider what it really means to live according to Christ’s command and to imitate the mercy of our heavenly Father in the way we treat the people around us.
