Grateful for the View…

October 16, 2026: My evening walk in gratitude… Grateful for the View… Tonight’s sunset reminded me that beauty is everywhere, but sometimes it’s all about how we choose to see it. ❤️ I spent my evening beneath the Venice Pier, watching the sun slowly make its way toward the horizon. The golden light reflected across the water and wet sand as the waves rolled gently beneath the pier. It was absolutely beautiful. Above me, the moon was shining through the evening sky while clouds drifted across its face. There was something so peaceful about watching the clouds move while the moon continued to glow behind them. Out on the ocean, sailboats were passing by, including one with a beautiful red sail. A jet ski raced across the water near another sailboat, adding a little excitement to the peaceful scene. I even watched an airplane approaching LAX from a different direction because of the Santa Ana winds. It’s amazing how something as simple as watching an airplane can become another interesting part of the evening. And then there was the sunset itself. For a little while, the sun looked almost otherworldly. A brilliant orange-red glow filled the sky, and the sun appeared enormous, with beautiful layers of color stretching across it. From where I was standing, it hardly looked real. I couldn’t help but think about tonight’s message: “Everyone has the same eyes but not the same view.” How true that is. We can all look at the same sky, the same ocean, and the same sunset, yet see something completely different. For me, I see beauty, possibility, and another reason to be thankful for this incredible life. I’m especially grateful for my eyes tonight. For the ability to see the colors of the sunset, the moon behind the clouds, the birds along the shoreline, and all the little details that make every day special. Sometimes the greatest gifts are the ones we experience simply by opening our eyes and appreciating what’s right in front of us. Another beautiful day. Another unforgettable sunset.
