I Built an Entire Operational Dashboard with One Prompt in Claude!

Claude's new Dashboards feature (beta, October 2026) builds an interactive dashboard from a spreadsheet and a plain-English prompt. I gave it an invented multi-site operations dataset — eight sites, two years of daily sales, 9,500 deliveries — and asked for one page for an operations director: sales by site against last year, on-time delivery by site, and the three sites to ring this week. It took about ten minutes. It merged a renamed site on its own, flagged a missing week of data, wrote the definitions at the bottom of the page, and produced something a director could read in thirty seconds. Then I ran the exact same file and the exact same prompt again. And again. Three different dashboards. That's the point of the video. The build is now free. Consistency, the model underneath, and whether anyone trusts the number — that's the work, and it hasn't moved. The dataset is invented. No client data appears anywhere in this video.
