Recorded on 14th of July, 2025 Eastern gated signal: McK&H base, a US&S Model 95 gate mechanism, 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights and WCH LED gate lights. Eastern median gateless signal: Unmarked base and 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights. Eastern shoulder gateless signal: Unmarked base and 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights. Southern gated signal: McK&H base, a US&S Model 95 gate mechanism, 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights and WCH LED gate lights. Southern median gateless signal: Unmarked base and 1 pair of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights. This was the other crossing I filmed on the recent trip to Queensland in 2025, this crossing is a nice and glad I was able to get it on this trip, this is also the first crossing that I filmed with US&S Model 95 gate mechanisms along with the 12 inch Safetran lights in Australia. This crossing used to be quite old, having gates here installed in the 1950s or 1960s with current McK&H bases for the gated signals, WRRS gate mechanisms and McK&H incandescent lights. The crossing would have had wishbone gates replaced with flat gates in the mid 2000s with current WCH LED gate lights. Then in the early 2010s, the McK&H incandescent lights were replaced with 8 inch Westinghouse LED lights, but those lights were short lived. They were replaced with current Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights in 2015, followed by the gate mechanisms being replaced around the same time with the current US&S ones. I wonder if those Safetran 12x20 inch lights came from another crossing on the Caboolture line as there was two crossings that had those lights installed in the late 2000s and early 2010s, but both of those crossings were closed permamently in 2014 with grade seperated overpasses nearby, so maybe those lights from either of those crossings got reused here. Also note the stolen/missing red background crossbuck on the gated signal on the eastern side. 0:00 Eastern Side Activation 1:15 Southern Side Activation (3 Trains)
