Walking in England (Part 1) The Peak District

In late May of 2023 my partner and I embarked on our second walking trip in England. This year’s trip included a 5 day warmup in the Peak District, and then a longer stretch on the well known Coast to Coast trail. The trip was bookended by a few enjoyable days in London. As you will see in the video, we were self-contained so we camped much of the time, but we also stayed in small inns and hostels when available. This video is not a day by day account of the walk. Instead I’ve created a travelogue and shown you the particularly interesting or picturesque parts of the trip. In Part 1 Ruth and I walk the River Derwent Heritage way, spend three days exploring Bakewell and the Monsal Trail, and then walk northwards towards Castleton. I hope you enjoy this video!
