Persia and Finland were clapping Russia and Zachadia in this war. We held Klaipėda, we held Lithuania. Then the Roman Empire announced to join. A diplomatic crisis ensues: nations threaten to escalate the war further, arguments break out. You see how this looks, right? Rome has broken the uneasy peace with Persia. The threat had been looming over us for decades ever since we fought in the 1840s in “Welcome to Persia”. Nevertheless, I felt I had no choice but to follow Finland into a Russian partition even if it meant leaving the Roman frontier in Anatolia and the Caucasus undefended. Now our worst fears are coming true. Can we get through this? The escalation crisis exposes the tense diplomatic situations in the rest of the world.
