What does it take to remove PFAS from drinking water? How are utilities responding to one of the most significant emerging challenges in water treatment?
In this Hugo Neu Sustainability Seminar, Sam Solomon, Staff Engineer at H2M Architects + Engineers, discusses PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) contamination and the treatment strategies being implemented to protect public health.
The presentation explores common sources of PFAS contamination, including industrial discharges, landfills, firefighting foams and wastewater systems, as well as the health concerns associated with long-term exposure. Learn about the technologies used to remove PFAS from drinking water and the key design considerations engineers must address when implementing treatment systems.
Discover how the water sector is adapting to evolving regulations and advancing solutions to provide safer, cleaner drinking water for communities.
