In this documentary, we explore 15 of the most restricted and off-limits locations in Texas, from sensitive military installations and nuclear facilities to abandoned buildings, protected historic sites, and places closed because of serious safety risks. The journey begins at the Pantex Plant in the Texas Panhandle, a highly sensitive facility connected to America’s nuclear weapons program. From there, we explore major military installations including Fort Cavazos, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Red River Army Depot, Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Bliss, Sheppard Air Force Base, Dyess Air Force Base, and Camp Bullis. But not every restricted location is connected to national security. At the Texas White House, preservation and restoration have limited access to the historic home associated with President Lyndon B. Johnson. In Houston, visitors can explore public attractions connected to the space program, while operational areas of Johnson Space Center remain controlled.
