In this documentary, we explore 15 dead, dying, and dramatically transformed shopping malls across America — from once-famous retail giants that have already been demolished to struggling malls losing their final anchor stores. The journey includes Eastland Center in Michigan, Randall Park Mall and Rolling Acres Mall in Ohio, and Cloverleaf Mall in Virginia, where once-busy shopping centers eventually closed and disappeared. Other malls remain standing but face uncertain futures. At Pittsburgh Mills, major tenants have continued disappearing. Har Mar Mall faces widespread vacancies and redevelopment questions, while Livingston Mall has watched important retailers move elsewhere. Then there are malls being transformed entirely. Northlake Mall is increasingly moving toward healthcare use.
