The Most Complete 4x400m Relay Performance at This Championship

What a win here in Birmingham means is total redemption for every runner who dared to believe — and in the Women's 4x400m Final at the LEICHTATHLETIK-EM, the tension from first exchange to last straight is almost unbearable. Femke Bol anchors for the Netherlands while Lieke Klaver, Eveline Saalberg, and Myrte Van Der Schoot each carry the baton with clinical precision through the opening legs. Great Britain's Yemi Mary John, Nicole Yeargin, Lina Nielsen, and Emily Newnham push hard in lane five, refusing to give ground. Italy — Alessandra Bonora, Alice Mangione, Anna Polinari, and Eloisa Coiro — hunt the podium from lane eight. Belgium's Paulien Couckuyt, Camille Laus, Helena Ponette, and Ilana Hanssens add genuine threat, while Spain's Paula Sevilla, Rocio Arroyo, Ana Prieto, and Blanca Hervas keep the pressure on through every lap.
