Kriemhild... --- [Verse 1] The battle's fire had turned to ash The mighty hall stood still No voice remained to praise a queen No sword remained to kill Die Halle schweigt in kaltem Rauch Kein Jubel bleibt zurück Wo einst das Leben Feste hielt Liegt nur zerbrochnes Glück --- [Pre-Chorus] Was this the crown... I dreamed about? War dies der Weg... Den ich gewählt? --- [Chorus] The Last Queen Standing all alone Die letzte Königin Alle Kronen fallen einst The Last Queen No throne can heal the heart Kein Reich der Welt Bringt Siegfried mir zurück --- [Verse 2] I won the vengeance I had sworn Yet lost what once was mine The gold is gone The kings are gone Only echoes cross the Rhine Der Schatz versank Die Brüder tot Der König schweigt im Saal Ich suchte Recht Und fand zuletzt Nur Schatten überall --- [Bridge] The dragon fell... The heroes fell... The kingdoms fell... Only the legend remains... --- [Final Chorus] The Last Queen Every crown returns to dust Die letzte Königin Kein Reich besteht für alle Zeit The Last Queen Only legends never die Nur alte Lieder klingen fort Und leben mit dem Rhein The Last Queen The story never ends Denn jede Generation Erzählt sie neu --- [Outro] The Rhine remembers... Der Rhein vergisst uns nie... --- [Final Narration] Every kingdom fades... Every crown is lost... But legends... Live forever...
