9.2.26 - Matthew 6 (LSV)

Matthew 6 continues the Sermon on the Mount, with Jesus teaching that our giving, prayer, and fasting should be done sincerely before God rather than to gain attention from others. He gives the model prayer commonly called the Lord’s Prayer and teaches about forgiveness, storing treasures in heaven, and serving God rather than money. Jesus also warns against being consumed by worry over everyday needs, reminding us that our heavenly Father knows what we need. The chapter centers on one powerful command: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” trusting God to provide what we need.
