The landfall process continued for nearly three hours. The system was moving at around 7 kmph, with maximum wind speeds of 55–65 kmph. Even after landfall, its impact continues, with heavy rain, gusty winds and rough seas reported over coastal and adjoining areas. The system is expected to move northwestwards for about eight hours and gradually weaken over the next 24 hours.
