What’s up everybody! Today on The Neighbors Kitchen, we are unboxing and testing a brand new toy—the Instant Pot Rio 4qt.
I’ve been looking for the perfect "Mighty Mini" for my cooking setup, and this one has some upgrades that really surprised me. We’re going over the new wider base (perfect for searing!), the redesigned safety steam release, and a feature I’ve wanted for a long time: the anti-spin liner. No more chasing your food around the pot while you’re trying to sauté!
I also test out a "pro tip" to see if the 6qt glass lid fits this 4qt unit so you don't have to buy extra parts.
On the Menu: I’m converting one of my favorite skillet recipes—Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Mushrooms—into a quick pressure cook. Does it keep that perfect steak bite texture or turn into pot roast? My first reaction says it all!
