X-Men '97 2x7 REACTION | Strange Land, Savage Heart

Having lost his sister Ilyana at Genosha, Colossus joins the Acolytes of Magneto, led by Exodus. They abduct Graydon Creed as he announces his candidacy for President and demand that X-Factor release imprisoned mutants in exchange for his life. Defying Cooper, Xavier sends Nightcrawler, Rogue, Beast, Bishop and Polaris to the Acolytes' base in the Savage Land to prevent the crisis from escalating. A radiation wave disrupts the team's powers, causing their jet to crash and separating Bishop and Polaris from the group. The rest are rescued by Colossus, who shows the X-Men the Acolytes' home in an effort to foster understanding. Nightcrawler persuades Exodus to put Creed on trial rather than execute him and promises to join the Acolytes if he fails. With Colossus presiding as judge and Exodus and Nightcrawler as counsel, Nightcrawler has Creed recount the abuse he received from their mother Mystique and his father Sabretooth for being human, swaying the crowd. When Colossus hesitates to deliver a verdict, Exodus attacks, prompting a battle after Polaris and Bishop destroy the power-dampening tower which restores the X-Men's powers. Nightcrawler defeats Exodus in a sword duel, but Creed shoots Exodus before taking Nightcrawler hostage. Nightcrawler teleports Creed to the frozen wastes and abandons him there after admonishing him. Colossus ultimately returns to the X-Men while X-Factor recovers Creed.
