Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said instructions have also been issued to provide up to 12 hours of electricity daily for irrigation and replace burnt transformers promptly. He said Vidarbha has recorded around a 35% rainfall deficit, while parts of Marathwada and North Maharashtra have also received less rainfall. Compensation will be considered based on crop-loss surveys and panchnamas where crops cannot be saved.
