We spent a wonderful time at an excellent campsite just 50 minutes from Brisbane. It is located on Split Yard Creek near lake Wivenhoe. Since they only accept one group at a time, it felt like we had the beautiful space all to ourselves. Especially in winter like this, with its stunning maple trees and charming little stream, this is likely the best camping spot. The lovely garden and valley provided by the campsite were perfect places for a walk. We used a wood stove to prepare breakfast and dinner this time, and it was incredibly convenient and useful. I plan to use the wood stove frequently, not only in winter but in other seasons as well. I used a vehicle docking tent provided by IDOOGEN of Korean camping brand a few years ago, and the combination with a woodstove provided the perfect, best space.
