Escape to the Stars : Overnight Camp in the Shadow of Mt.Barney The Scenic Rim

My wife and I went camping in Barney View, located right near the Queensland and New South Wales border, where you can see Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney. The Scenic Rim, located along the border, stands out in Australia for its breathtaking, dramatic cliff sides and the sheer grandeur of its ancient volcanic landscape. We visit this area often because the unique and stunning mountain shapes are simply incredible, and it's close to the Gumridge campsite where we've stayed twice before. Surrounded by a backdrop of sheer cliffs like a folding screen, the terrain creates a uniquely beautiful atmosphere. The Milky Way we saw at night was an unforgettable spectacle that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
