Business Ideation Process: Developing Your Product or Service Idea - Hugh Tansey

For many entrepreneurs, it can be challenging to get from that initial business idea to the point where the idea has been refined and validated, and that there is a market for the product or service. This workshop / webinar will provide guidance on developing your product or service idea through a five-step business ideation process. This includes identifying the problem, generating the idea, validating your concept, working towards a minimal viable product (or service) and launching the new product (or service). The following will be covered: • Identifying sources of business ideas and ways to generate them and to determine the Value they may have • Defining the customers for your idea and conducting some market research to refine them • Using competitive information to develop and grow your idea • Looking into the market for your idea and developing estimates • Developing basic proof of concept for your ideas • Improving your prototype idea and testing it in the market • Outlining what a minimum viable product could be This webinar is being jointly done in partnership with the CT State Housatonic Werth Center.
