Restoring at Scale, Episode 2: Creating Wildlife Magnets - Improving habitats for species can be a side benefit of wetland mitigation. With a mega-scale project, it becomes an intentional part of the plan. At the Bois d’Arc Lake Mitigation Area, RES is rewilding 17,000 acres. To support the thriving of native wildlife, we’re carefully placing woody debris from fallen trees to create a quiltwork of wildlife habitats, with amazing results. We’re even planning for ways to repeat the practice over time, until the restored forests, grasslands and wetlands can resume the natural cycle of wildlife habitat production. Narrated by Matt Stahman
