LONDON BUS NEWS - Routes SL12, 205 & 687 | Superloop Confirmed + New Electrics (TfL Bus Changes)

New London bus tenders have recently been announced. These involve two existing routes and one new Superloop route. 0:00 Introduction 0:20 Route SL12 1:25 Route 205 2:30 PVR reduction 3:18 Route 687 (no footage) 4:40 Route 205 part 2 Part 1 - route SL12. The SL12 is a new Superloop express route, which will run from Gants Hill to Rainham. Stagecoach East London have won the SL12 with new electric double deckers. The route is expected to run from Rainham (RM) garage, located along the SL12. Fourteen buses will be used to run the service, which will operate every 12 to 15 minutes. The start date for the SL12 has yet to be confirmed. For more details on the SL12, watch my other video. Part 2 - route 205. Route 205 is currently operated by Stagecoach East London. The route uses ADL Enviro400 Hybrids from 2014 and ADL Enviro400 MMC Smart Hybrids. The 205 currently uses 21 buses, running every 11 to 13 minutes. Stagecoach have retained the 205. New electric double deckers are to be ordered for the route. These will replace the Enviro400 Hybrids and E400 MMCs (allocated to the 25 and 425). The 205's peak vehicle requirement will also be decreased. The route will soon use 17 buses instead of 21. Its frequency is also expected to be decreased. The 205's new contract starts on the 26th of August 2026. It ends on the 29th of August 2033. Part 3 - route 687. School route 687 is currently run by Go-Ahead London. The route runs from River Road (RR) garage, and is allocated an Enviro400. The 687 uses various types of buses, from Gemini 3s to BYD BD11s. Stagecoach will begin running the 687 next year. The route will start running from West Ham (WH) garage. It will use an existing diesel double decker. Route 687 runs between Dagenham Park School and Barking Station. The 687's new contract starts on the 2nd of May 2026. It ends on the 4th of May 2029. #bus #tfl #buses
