Monserrate: Bogotá's SACRED Mountain 🇨🇴 | Cable Car Tour [4K]

Join us for a walking tour up Monserrate, the sacred mountain that watches over Bogotá at 3,152 meters above sea level. We arrived from the north of the city along the scenic Avenida Circunvalar, then rode the cable car (teleférico) up to the summit. At the top we visited the Sanctuary of the Señor de Monserrate and saw the famous Señor Caído (Fallen Christ), walked the souvenir market, and passed the Via Crucis trail with its 14 stations and the traditional wishing fountain. To finish, we stopped at Restaurante Santa Clara to try local food — an almojábana, an almojábana cake, and a canelazo (a warm Colombian drink, perfect for the cold up here). If you prefer a full sit-down meal, Restaurante San Isidro is right above it. Llegamos desde el norte de la ciudad por la escénica Avenida Circunvalar y subimos en teleférico hasta la cima. Arriba visitamos el Santuario del Señor de Monserrate y vimos el famoso Señor Caído, recorrimos el mercado de souvenirs, el sendero del Vía Crucis con sus 14 estaciones y la tradicional fuente de los deseos. Para cerrar, pasamos al Restaurante Santa Clara a probar comida típica: una almojábana, un pastel de almojábana y un canelazo. Si prefieres algo más formal, el Restaurante San Isidro está justo arriba.
