0:20 Having crossed the Hardangervidda last winter, it was now time to start from Finse, were the previous winter journey ended.
Although not as level als Hardangervidda, the terrain consisted of higher hills and mountain-like rocks, surrounding some large lakes. The weather was great for 5 days.
08:30 After picking up the food for the second week, the weather shifted. On my way to Jotunheimen the rain made the track slippery, my shoes were soaking wet from the marshy soil.
10:55 Then came the Hurungane mountains. Steep towering walls and a track that I would consider quite dangerous. Not being able to cross the mountain pass, I was forced to return back to the deep, forested valley.
19:10 A detour that costed me two days. The valley of Ottadalen was by now out of reach, otherwise I would have walked the whole 300 kilometers.
But hey, what an incredible 250 kilometers it was!
