I was excited to finally have my own place and start a new chapter of my life. But what I experienced in that apartment was something I never expected. There were nights when the entire building was completely dark, strange noises came from my bathroom, and I constantly felt like someone was watching me. One night, I even saw what looked like a dark figure standing behind me. Was my first apartment in Japan haunted? Or was there another explanation for everything I experienced? For this Halloween special, I'm sharing one of my creepiest personal experiences from my early years living alone in Japan.
