Thursday, 8PM. Work is over, and I'm at Kyobashi Station.
There was a company gathering nearby. Getting dragged along is part of the job.
I skipped lunch today, and got by on a few snacks.
So I ate dinner three times.
Kotteri ramen first. Then KFC, because the ramen wasn't enough.
Then a konbini, where I went in looking for vegetables
and walked out with a donut.
Then a market at ten at night, for the salad I'd failed to buy.
Home at 11:30. Dinner, round three: salad, miso soup and natto.
I said itadakimasu three times today.
Tomorrow is Friday, and a work-from-home day.
A Thursday night wearing a Friday night's face.
That's why it ran this long.
I kept saying I worry about my health,
and ate like someone who doesn't.
But I did look for vegetables, and I ate them out of stubbornness.
So which is it? Do I worry about my health,
or do I want to think that I do?
When you miss lunch, how do you make up for it that night?
